Meal Prep Tips and Tricks
Nourishing yourself should be a pleasure, not a stress. But it’s often hard to find the time or the inspiration when there’s already so much going on in our busy lives.
This food prep system can make your lives a little easier, while making your bellies a little happier 🙂
If you roughly follow it each week, you’ll have an epic buddha bowl in your fridge whenever you need it.
The idea is to prepare one of these each week:
- Grain
- Protein
- Roast veg
- Green veg
- Sauce
- Dressing
- Toasted seeds/ nuts
Here are some fun suggestions…
You can alternate, adapt with the seasons and use it as an excuse to clean out your pantry… use that polenta or wild rice or those hemp seeds you bought for a recipe but never finished the packet.You don’t really need recipes and can easily simplify by boiling a bunch of eggs or buying some of the things if you’re time poor – like high quality cans of tuna or hummus or another dip or sauce. You could even get a weekly organic veggie box delivered and utilise whatever arrives… It’s a great way to save time, money and ensure you’re eating seasonally.
